Harrison Berrgeron After Reading

Comprehension

1. George is more than averange when it comes to thinking more than he is suppose to think.
2. Harrison is trying to overthrow the government and is also better than everyone else in many ways.
3. Handicapper General puts about five hundred pounds of handicappers on Harrison, and then later in the story kills Harrison.
4. Hazel and George don't remember what has happen to their son; they also CAN'T remember of them having a son at all.

Text Analysis

5. People living in a disuoptia and Harrison escapes from jail. The Handicapper General kills Harrison who took off his handicappers. It shows that the people will forever be trapped in this society.
6. The climax of the story is when Harrison and the dancer gets shot.
7. The society believes in people being equal, which makes the society lifeless, and dull. People don't really know whats going on and they just keep on living for nothing.
8.Vonnegut is trying to say that if everyone was equal in society there wouldn't be much of war, volience, or anything of that matter; along with people being famous or not being fair. In the story, no one is jealous of anyone and they all act the same.
9. Yes, because Harrison would make everyone take off their handicappers, and live in a peaceful life where everyone is different and can express themselves in that way.
